Technical and Server Data

Our website is hosted on Hostinger’s servers. Like most web hosting providers, Hostinger may automatically record standard server log data when you visit our website, which can include your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and the date and time of your visit. This data is processed by Hostinger as a data processor on our behalf and is used solely for security, server maintenance, and the reliable operation of our website. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.

Website Performance Data

We use Google Search Console to monitor our website’s search performance. Google Search Console provides us with aggregated, anonymised data about how our website appears in Google Search results — such as which search queries lead users to our site and overall click-through rates. It does not collect personally identifiable information about individual visitors to our website, and we do not use it to track or profile users.

We do not use Google Analytics or any other visitor tracking or analytics platform on this website.

3. How We Use Your Personal Data

We use the personal data collected through our contact form for the following purposes:

  • To follow up on your enquiry and discuss your SHEQ consultancy requirements
  • To comply with any legal or regulatory obligations

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases for processing your personal data:

  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): To respond to your enquiry and follow up on your request for our consultancy services. We have assessed that processing your data for this purpose does not override your rights and freedoms.
  • Contract (Article 6(1)(b)): Where your enquiry leads to or relates to a contract for our services, processing is necessary for the performance of or entry into that contract.
  • Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)): Where we are required to process your data to comply with a legal obligation.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. In practice:

  • Enquiry and contact form data: We retain this for up to 24 months from the date of your initial enquiry, or for the duration of any resulting client relationship plus a reasonable period thereafter.
  • Client records: Where an engagement results in a contract or service agreement, we retain relevant records for up to 7 years in line with standard business and statutory requirements.

Once data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

6. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Our web hosting provider (Hostinger) processes server data as a data processor acting on our instructions under appropriate data processing terms.
  • Google LLC: Google processes aggregated, anonymised search performance data on our behalf via Google Search Console. No personally identifiable visitor data is shared with Google through our use of Search Console.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose your data to law enforcement or regulatory bodies where required to do so by law.

Any third parties with whom we share personal data are required to keep it confidential and to process it only in accordance with our instructions and applicable data protection law.

7. International Data Transfers

Google LLC is based in the United States. Where Search Console data is processed outside the UK, this is done in accordance with applicable data transfer mechanisms under UK GDPR. As noted above, no personally identifiable information about individual website visitors is transferred in connection with our use of Google Search Console.

Our hosting provider, Hostinger, may process server log data within the European Economic Area (EEA) or other jurisdictions. Hostinger operates under appropriate data protection agreements.
